One Mission Trip. A Bigger Opportunity.
What if a week in Ecuador could be the beginning of something much bigger?
Freedom Church is exploring an opportunity to partner with For His Children (FHC), a Christian ministry caring
for vulnerable children in Quito, Ecuador.
We're looking at two possibilities: taking a mission team to Ecuador in 2027 and exploring what an ongoing partnership with FHC might look like.
ECUADOR MISSION TRIP
June 25 – July 3, 2027
We're planning a nine-day trip to Quito, Ecuador, where our team will serve alongside the staff and caregivers at For His Children.
TRIP AT A GLANCE
What Will We Be Doing?
Our team will help with practical needs and activities planned in coordination with FHC, potentially including:
Can Teenagers Go?
Absolutely! This is an opportunity for both adults and students.
Students ages 13 and older are generally eligible, and we normally expect a parent or legal guardian to travel with their student. Exceptions may be considered individually and must be approved by Freedom's leadership and meet FHC's requirements.
All team members will complete an application, background screening, a brief conversation with leadership, and required trip preparation.
INTERESTED IN GOING
Here's Your Next Step.
The first step is to complete the mission trip application.
Submitting an application doesn't financially commit you to the trip or guarantee a spot on the team. It simply helps us learn more about you, your interest in serving, and how we can begin preparing together.

Want to learn more before applying? We've put together two helpful resources.
#1 DOWNLOAD: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Practical details, expectations, preparation, and things to consider before traveling.
#2 DOWNLOAD: ECUADOR TRIP BROCHURE: An overview of the opportunity, the ministry, and what the trip could look like.
Completed applications can be submitted using the instructions provided by Freedom Church.
BEYOND THE MISSION TRIP
What Could an Ongoing Partnership Look Like?
A mission trip lasts a little over a week. But the work happening at For His Children continues every single day.
So we're asking a bigger question:
Could God be opening the door for Freedom to build a meaningful, ongoing relationship with FHC?
That could involve future mission trips, prayer, financial support, special projects, or other opportunities we haven't even thought of yet.
We haven't made any decisions about a long-term partnership. Before doing so, we want to hear from our church family.
That's where you come in.
Would you be excited about an ongoing relationship with FHC? Do you have concerns about the financial commitment? Maybe you have an idea we haven't considered.
We want to hear it all.
We've put together a short feedback form where you can share your thoughts, questions, and suggestions.
This isn't a vote or a financial pledge. It's an opportunity to help Freedom's leadership thoughtfully consider what comes next.
